Lower Elementary (Ages 6-9)

Students of this age group use an interdisciplinary curriculum model designed to correspond to the developmental stages of children aged 6-9. A variety of materials are used to teach abstract concepts.

Small group and individualized instruction is used to teach elementary students fundamental skills in reading, spelling and writing. Math instruction emphasizes the understanding of concepts, and process, as well as accuracy in computation, and the history of mathematics. Students learn research skills, science, and perform experiments. They study the needs of people around the world and throughout history. Students participate in cooperative sports and games, creative movement, French and Spanish, and music.
